1. I am in love with photography. I haven't taken any classes so I know I'm not amazing, but it is my dream to make it into my own business that I can do to help support my family and to just have some fun!

2. I am a total dork. I may seem super shy until I get a little bit of a chance to get to know somebody, which consequently means that I might miss out on some friendships (like yours Laura - I'm still kicking myself for not getting to know you sooner), but when I feel comfortable around someone they will have the pleasure of seeing my retarded personality come out. :)

3. I am always on the lookout for a good friend. In more recent years I have grown apart from a lot of the friends I had...and true friends seem harder to come by. This is probably the hardest part of being a stay at home mom for me because my only really good girlfriends live 8+ hours away.

4. Like Laura I am also a in the closet singer. Whether its in the car, at home while I'm cleaning or rocking the baby to sleep, or even in the shower (everything sounds better in there) I LOVE to sing anything and everything. My husband always tells me I have an amazing voice, but I know that if anywhere it belongs in a choir where it can blend in. In other words, you won't be seeing me on American Idol anytime soon! Lol.

5. I am terrified of being in front of groups of people. Since I was just a little kid there has been very few things that scare me more than having to make any kind of presentation, speech, or basically do anything where I'm in the lime light and being forced to be face to face with people.

6. I don't like sweets. I don't like chocolate, ice cream, or most kinds of candies or sodas. Of course there are a few exceptions, but not many.

7. Not many people know this because its not something I'm particularly proud of...but I'm scared of the dark. Don't really know why...I guess maybe I just associate the dark with dark things. I could be happy living in almost perpetual daylight.

8. I love Love LOVE to dance! I haven't really been to any clubs or anything, but me and my little sis sure know how to bust a move when we hang out!!! We're a couple of crumpin fools!

6. Christmas...its my favorite holiday
   
7. The smell of pine trees...whether its from a real tree or a candle I don't care!
   
8. The music...I could sing Christmas carols all freakin day!

The New House

So this is our new place! We moved in over Memorial Weekend and are mostly settled aside from some odds and ends we still need to get put away. Here are some photos of our second floor apartment. There will probably be more pictures of the bedroom and kitchen later on when we get the rooms looking nice.

Its been fun having the weather be warmer lately because I can actually take Ayden outside to enjoy nature. He hasn't had much chance to do that since he was born right before winter. I've really enjoyed showing him different animals and letting him feel the grass and watch cars and people. Its a big world for such a little guy!

Mommy's Day

Although most of my mother's day was spent celebrating my own mother, I still had an amazing day. My wonderful hubby gave me a thoughtful gift, in addition to having given me the gift I really wanted which was a day off from mommy duty. I got to spend Friday doing whatever I wanted...including going to the mall to get some new threads for summer. Thanks honey :) Sunday was fun because my sisters and I had themed my mom's gifts around a gift we had planned in secret clear back last summer and all the waiting finally paid off.

Each gift had some kind of tie to the secret, and although mom knew it had something to do with dogs, she didn't know why. Its a long story, but our mom has wanted a dog for quite a few years now and for certain reasons hasn't been able to get it. It is something she wants really badly and has been working really hard for so we decided to start up a savings account dedicated to the sole purpose of saving up money to get our mom a dog. We ended up saving quite a lot over the last year and on Sunday we were able to spring the surprise on her...and of course, it made her cry. Score! :)

Also, for the first time ever we had my Grandma Scherbel over for our Mother's Day dinner which was fun. Three generations of mommy's in our house! All in all, it was an awesome day.
