Music to My Ears

So I've heard Ayden say "mama" before but because babies babble so much sometimes it can be hard to really know if they even comprehend what they are saying. All of my doubts were laid to rest when I recorded this two weeks ago.

Cold Feet and Weddings

So I had the wonderful and oh so exciting opportunity to do the photography for some of my brother's friends this last weekend. I have to admit that I was incredibly nervous...I mean these are photos that they will want to use to recall this memory hopefully for the rest of their lives, and I didn't want to be the one responsible for taking crappy ones! I felt very under prepared as I hadn't known I would be a wedding photographer until 10:30 am the morning of the wedding! So in short...I was the one getting cold feet come the time of the ceremony. :)

I wish we could have been able to use the beautiful grounds to take pictures, but by the time the ceremony ended we had no daylight to work with and it was freezing. Oh well. These particular photos are compltely unedited since I was working on a volunteer basis. All things considered, I think they turned out pretty good an I would love to do it again!

The Victorian is a 112 year old mansion that has been converted into a chapel/reception center. Its absolutely lovely.

The white building is where the wedding ceremonies are held. I'm pretty sure its an add-on to the original house but its beautiful none the less.
The grounds were amazing but the weather was unfortunately noncooperative and the daylight didn't last.

The couple didn't have a reception but instead had a dinner at a local Chinese restaurant called the Royal Jade. This didn't prove to be the best backdrop for wedding pictures....but oh well! :)
